The Floors

Although there are some variations in construction and features, all of the floors we offer are designed and manufactured to give years of quality service in heavy residential use and moderate-to-light commercial applications. Color and style is often the deciding factor in a flooring selection.

The Rating System

We developed the Simple Rating System to make your selection easier. The Simple Rating System provides a quick, easy-to-understand rating of the floor you are considering. It is designed to ease the technical decisions of selecting a hard surface floor so you can focus on the more important things, like the look you want.

We rated our entire selection according to performance characteristics. 3rd party industry experts and independent laboratory analyses were utilized for product information. These reports measure various characteristics of the floors such as:

  • Abrasion tests
  • Finish quality
  • Chemical makeup
  • Core density
  • Janka wood hardness ratings
  • Construction: solid or engineered
  • Thickness
  • Plies
  • Species
  • Price

Use our Simple Rating System to easily assess price vs. durability. Each product in the system is evaluated and assigned a rating level from Bronze to Platinum. The rating reflects the product's durability and price. The rating does not take into consideration color or appearance, as these are personal interior design aspects unique to your project. From the standard Bronze to the ultimate Platinum, you select the quality of hard surface floor that's right for your home.

  • Platinum = Ultimate

  • Gold = Excellent

  • Silver = Good

  • Bronze = Standard
