Home is where you find things you value the most, friends and family. Possibly the perfect foundation exists in Exotic hardwoods such as the solid Tiete Rosewood collection. Imported from Bolivia, Tiete Rosewood goes well beyond the style of a domestic hardwood floor. The natural rosewood tone begins with a warm rose tint and naturally deepens over time. This collection was milled into a wider profile of 5” successfully achieving its stately wide board appearance.
Just because it's exotic does not mean it has to be high maintenance; Tiete Rosewood has been finished with a no wax, scratch resistant coating leaving you with less work and more time to enjoy your surroundings.
Expression of individuality is now possible as the Rosewood comes in its Natural tone and 3 tinted selections as well.
• Natural
• San Paulo Ipe
• Kempas/Indonesian Cherry
• Teak/Cumaru
Solid Rosewood Exotic series.
Solid 5" wide construction. The Exotic Rosewood Species features a 5" wide solid exotic plank.
Expansion relief channels. Dual relief channels have been milled the entire length of the underside of the 5" wide plank improving its dimensional stability.
Improved Milling Techniques. The 4 sided Tongue and Groove on the sides of the plank have been milled lower into the plank. This technique allows for the thickest top sand-able surface layer now available from a solid wood floor.
Micro-bevel. A 4 sided Micro-bevel, in addition to insuring easy cleaning also provides definition to each plank and helps to elimate over-wood resulting in a smoother surface once installed.
Finishing touch. A Certified 11 step finishing process in which 8 coats of German manufactured Treffic Aluminum Oxide Finish are applied and U.V. cured. This is not only the most durable but the easiest to maintain finish available for wood floors.
Surface preparations. The individual planks have been kiln dried and feather sanded create an ideal platform for the premium finish to be applied.

A. Waxing the Tiete Rosewood series is not necessary. The initial finish has a 25 year finish that needs no waxing.
Q. How many times can this floor be sanded and refinished?
A. The amount of sandings depends on how much wood is taken off each time. A general rule for 3/4" thick floors is 4-5 times.
Q. Are there different species in this collection?
A. No, all the species are Tiete Rosewood. The Rosewood now comes with stain options that are named after other species they resemble.
Q. I keep hearing good things about aluminum oxide finishes. Does this one have it?
A. Yes, it does. To date Aluminum oxide is the most durable floor finish available. Aluminum oxide performs and looks best when topcoated over traditional polyurethane finishes. This is the technique used in the making of the Rosewood collection.
Q. The color looks good online, can I get a sample to be sure?
A. Yes, samples are available for all colors in the Rosewood Solid Plank.
Q. Is this floor solid? Is solid better for some reason?

Flexible installation methods, Float or nail - wood or concrete
The Tiete Rosewood plank offers a variety of installation options. The solid plank can be nailed down in the traditional solid wood floor nail down method. This is done over a wooden subfloor. The plank may also be installed using the floating installation method. This can be done over a concrete or wooden subfloor. When floating the planks, adhesive is applied to the tongue and groove of the plank. When installing over a concrete floor, use a plastic moisture barrier to completely cover the concrete floor. When floating the planks leave a 1" gap around all walls, doorways, etc. cover the gap using trim.
